Overview
Deed Events are social, professional, or interest-based activities for your company. These company events are not associated with nonprofit organizations, cause areas, or Social Development Goals (SDGs). Instead, they allow employee to connect around shared interests. Think lunch and learns, happy hours, a fireside chat.
Company Admins and Organizers can create deeds like webinars or workout classes for employees to discover. Now there's no limit to the types of events your employees can experience with Deed.
Time spent at an Event do not count as impact hours.
About Events
- Events are discoverable on the new "Events" page in the Global Navigation
- Events can only be "Company Only" (not "Public")
- This is the first version of Events. Some things to note about V1:
- Cannot be a Featured Deed in v1
- Cannot be linked to Campaign in v1
- Cannot be linked to Categories in v1
- Cannot be linked to ERGs in v1
- Cannot be linked to a nonprofit in v1
- Time spent at an Event can not count as impact hours in v1
- VTO will not be an option for these events
- Volunteer time matching is not applicable for events
- Hours can not be logged for Events in v1 Logging hours
- Employees cannot check-in to Events in v1
Admin Info
- Events are managed and approved the same ways as Volunteer events, Fundraisers, and Projects.
- You'll need to BYOP – bring your own photo! Photos don't pre-populate for Events.
- Events won't appear in Social Impact metrics and reporting.
- Event-specific metrics and reporting will be added in a later version.

- Employees cannot create Events in v1
- Employees can invite friends to Events
- Employees can view Events they've registered for in their profile (in "Upcoming Deeds" or "Past Deeds" sections)
